Terms of service

1. About Skyride

Skyride is a ride-hailing service in Nigeria operated by SKYRIDE TRANSPORTATION LIMITED. Riders use the app to request rides, see fares, pay and follow their trip. Drivers approved by Skyride use the same app in driver mode to accept and complete trips.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
• The information you give us must be true and kept up to date.
• We may ask you to verify your identity before you can request or accept rides.
• You are responsible for keeping your login details private and for activity on your account.
• Driver accounts are approved by Skyride after document and vehicle checks.

3. Requesting a ride and fares

Before you confirm a ride, the app shows the fare for your trip. The final fare may change if you add stops, change the destination, ask the driver to wait, or if the trip changes significantly from the one requested. Any change is shown on your receipt.

4. Payments

• You pay for trips through the payment methods available in the app.
• Payments are processed by our payment provider. Your bank may charge its own fees.
• We send a receipt for every completed trip and keep it in your trip history.

5. Cancellations and refunds

You can cancel a ride in the app. A cancellation fee may apply if you cancel after a driver has been assigned and is on the way, or if the driver waits at the pickup point and you do not arrive. Any fee is shown in the app before you cancel. If you believe you were charged in error, contact support and we will review it. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method.

6. During the trip

• Be at the pickup point on time and check the vehicle and plate number before you get in.
• Wear a seatbelt and treat drivers and vehicles with respect.
• Drivers must follow the law, drive safely and keep their documents and vehicle in good order.
• Unsafe, abusive or illegal behaviour by anyone will end the trip and may lead to account suspension.
• Either party can report a problem through the app or by contacting support.

7. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the app, attempt to access other people’s accounts, interfere with the service, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms.

8. Liability

We work to provide a reliable service, but delays can happen because of traffic, weather and other events outside our control. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, such as missed appointments. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

9. Privacy

Our privacy policy explains how we handle your personal data.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will post changes on this page and update the date at the top, and tell you in the app or by email if a change is significant.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Lagos State.
